The Partner API described here has not shipped. Data shapes, status values, error types, and result fields are taken from QuoteSweep's production quoting engine and are accurate, but the public endpoints and field names do not exist yet and will change during implementation. Use this to design an integration and size the work. Do not build against exact field names until v1 is published.
The QuoteSweep Partner API lets platforms submit commercial insurance quotes across a wide carrier network and retrieve structured results. It is designed for integration into agency platforms, agent portals, and AMS systems.
How QuoteSweep Quotes
QuoteSweep does not call carrier rating APIs. It runs AI web agents against each carrier's own agent portal — logging in with the agency's carrier credentials, completing the submission, and extracting the quote. Three consequences shape every integration built on this API.
Quoting takes minutes, not seconds
Each carrier runs as a separate parallel job. Elapsed time tracks the slowest selected carrier, and a run can finish partially — some carriers quoted while others failed or are still working. Treat quoting as a background job with progressive results, never a synchronous call.
A run can require a human mid-flight
A carrier may present multi-factor authentication or an underwriting question that was not answerable from the submitted data. That job pauses in an action-required state until an agent resolves it inside QuoteSweep. These are recoverable, not failures — see Action Required.
Carrier credentials never transit the API
Carrier portal logins are configured in the QuoteSweep dashboard and held in a secrets vault. They are never accepted as API parameters, returned in responses, or stored in the partner platform.
Request Flow
- Partner configures carrier portal credentials in the QuoteSweep dashboard
- Partner fetches the available carrier list for the agency
- Partner creates a quote request with business and line-of-business data plus selected carriers
- Partner starts the run; QuoteSweep dispatches parallel AI agents
- Results arrive asynchronously via polling or webhooks
- Any job needing agent input surfaces as action required with a deep link into QuoteSweep

JSON only. XML and ACORD ingest are not supported in v1. If a partner system natively emits ACORD XML, an ACORD ingest path may be evaluated for a later version.
